Dr. Albarado is "double board certified" by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology:
Board certified in General (Adult) Psychiatry in 2013.
Board certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in 2014.
What does it mean to be board certified?
Each specialty of medicine has its own board, which administers exams and credentials medical doctors as specialists in their field. This means a board certified doctor has proven themselves to be an expert in their field. Not every doctor is board certified.
To maintain board certification a doctor has to continue education and training over their career, and re-certify with exams, ensuring they are up-to-date and know about cutting edge treatments!
