About Dr. Ashley Albarado

Dr. Ashley Albarado grew up in Scott, Louisiana and graduated from Acadiana High School. She attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.

 

Dr. Albarado studied medicine at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She became a medical doctor (M.D.) in 2009. She stayed in New Orleans to train as a psychiatrist at LSU-Ochsner Psychiatry Residency. To specialize as a child and adolescent psychiatrist, she completed a fellowship at Tulane University in New Orleans.

In 2014, Dr. Albarado moved to Baton Rouge, where she practiced psychiatry for five years. She moved "home" to Acadiana in 2019.
